Debi Peralta
Born in 1958 in scenic Utah, and a lifetime native, Debi Peralta became curious and inspired by her natural surroundings at an early age. Always wondering how things came to be, her early interests were in the sciences -- geology and biology. With eyes wide open to all things of nature and a natural curiosity about people and their cultures, she entered the University of Utah in 1989 to study anthropology.
While pursuing a degree she engaged herself in liberal education studies in fine arts and discovered an artistic outlet for expressing her relationship with the natural world and observations of the human psyche. Near the end of the last century she discovered digital tools for art and design. Now self-taught in several digital media, she expresses herself artistically with a variety of digital programs.
"It wasn't until the advent of the digital age that I found I could really take off and begin to explore my imagination and express it visually. I had found my medium. Recently my passion for fractal art has opened a vista of possibilities in abstract expressionism. Viewers will see forms in my work that put them in mind of the natural world and their relationship to the environment as well as facets of their internal landscapes.
"I am very appreciative of the pioneers in digital art who have hit the streets to get recognition for us and our work as fine art. Digital art allows so much freedom for the artist to express concepts in almost surreal color and form and in limitless creative ways. It's very exciting to be on the forefront of this artistic realm."
Debi's work is frequently visited and appreciated by viewers around the world and featured and awarded on a regular basis by artist peer groups. She has had front page features at Fine Art America and Red Bubble, in addition to features with Best Emerging Artists online art magazine and 1st Angel Arts Magazine, which hosts a permanent, front-page feed of her most recent work. Numerous other art blogs have also showcased her work.
Prints of her work are available at Fine Art America for purchase in a variety of formats, as high-quality Giclee prints. With special arrangements collectors can buy her work printed on metal and float-mounted on a dual-level, lucite plexiglass/glossy canvas presentation. Visit the Contact link to inquire.
