Connections to Love: Lorena Malm
September 11th 2011 15:00
I searched my emotions for what it felt like to fall
in love for the first time; to be able to feel a real connection to what
life is really all about. I created 'Love Connection' with the use of a
computer software program.
I found a bracket fungus in an Oregon forest. I began
by using a wood burning tool to create the shape of the maiden. Then I
used watercolor pens and fingernail polish to colorize. I scanned this
into the computer and used a software program to achieve finalization
for print.
Lorena Malm
I am a self-taught artist who has been improving my artistic skills and
inner peace, with a desire to share my inner peace with others. I am
currently a digital pixel artist.
When I work with the computer I am reminded that all things are possible
if I allow my mind to open up to the opportunities made available
through the use of the program and tools I use to create.
I begin a piece by searching my thoughts and emotions, allowing them to
flow freely. When people see my work, I’d like them to feel connection
in some way to their own life experience.
I aspire to be successful at bringing beauty and joy to the world
through good deeds and works. I strive to engage the beings of each
viewer that they may search for the descriptions of the emotions brought
in them through my work.
