Janine Casse
Since Janine was a child, she showed an interest in drawing and painting. However, much in later years, in the 80s most particularly, she really got involved in art when she landed in the USA. The opportunities were there and Janine started to go to part-time studies whenever and wherever she was stationed with her work. Janine regularly went to Art Student League in New York City on Saturdays in the Afternoon or once weekly at night during the week.
In Summer time, Janine used to go outdoors and paint in Central Park and would go on her own to other places doing some sketches in the bus, subways and other spots of N.Y.C. as well as other sites in New Jersey, Massachussetts, etc.
She attended a few watercolor workshops in other states and would go to local high school for evening classes and also any college semesters in New York City and New Jersey.
In New Jersey, Janine belonged to the Rutherford Art Club, where they had a meeting every month and when she took part in the monthly exhibitions and regional exhibition every year with the Club indoors and outdoors. On some occasions, Janine was awarded a 2nd place, 3rd place or excellence for her work.
Janine's favorite subjects are landscapes and flowers. She also likes to paint people in action, interiors and people's faces.
