Maryann Schigur
Maryann Schigur is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in art and education. She has done graduate work and additional studies with prominent artists Mary Barrie, Don O'Neill, Sheila Hansberger, Tom Lynch, Rex Brandt, Joan Irving, and Morris Shubin. She also attended the International Watermedia Symposium studying with renowned artists Edward Betts, Katherine Liu, Fran Larson, Alex Powers, Christopher Schink and Frank Webb.
Her work has been exhibited at the Riverside California Art Museum, the San Diego Watercolor Society Gallery, and the San Dieguito Art Guild Gallery. She is a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society, San Dieguito Art Guild of Encinitas, Ca., Fallbrook Art Association of Fallbrook Ca. and the Conway League of Artists, Conway, Arkansas.
In addition to teaching private watercolor classes, she has been an instructor at the University of California, San Marcos and presently teaches watercolor classes at the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, Ar. Maryann works exclusively with watercolors.
