This is a watercolor of the entrance to William Faulkner's house in Oxford Mississippi. It is a popular landmark in Oxford and is a beautiful place to paint on a sunny spring day!
This tree symbolizes the first memory I have of Mississippi. I was amazed by the moss growing on all the trees. It is an image that stuck with me and this to me is one of the simple but beautiful things that people don't take time to recognize.

Bio:I am a young artist and student. I am currently a senior at the University of Mississippi and plan to graduate in the Spring of 2011 with a BA in art and a minor in mass communications. My love for art started at a very young age and has become a huge part of my life. I spend all my spare time painting and I hope to someday build a career sharing my passion with others. I paint because I enjoy the challenge of creating an emotion with colors and strokes of my brush instead of words on paper. I'm not only an artist but an admirer of all art forms. As an artist I have been influenced by every artists work I have had the opportunity to see. Being a young artist I know you may not remember my name a few years from now but, I hope that you enjoy what you see. And although I may never become famous, I do hope my art will leave an impression on you and everyone who sees it! If this profile does nothing more then influence you to pick up a paint brush then it has been worth the time I spent creating it.
